Creating an Effective Budget Process- Pittsburg, June 7

A second round of training workshops sponsored by the Kansas School Board Resource Center has been set for June 7 in Pittsburg. School board members will learn how to create an effective budget process by building the budget around the state-mandated building needs assessments and having a basic understanding of how money flows through various funds. Other topics will include a discussion of how fund balances can by used and how to avoid transferring too much money into funds with restrictions.
Admission is free, and refreshments will be served. Everyone is welcome, and pre-registration would be appreciated.
