This policy establishes that the board expects all students to demonstrate honesty, integrity, and responsibility in completing academic work. The use of artificial intelligence (hereafter “AI”) tools must support learning without undermining the authenticity of a student’s efforts or the validity of the educational process.

Model Policy on District Use of AI (Derby)

This policy establishes governance for the responsible use of artificial intelligence in the district’s educational and operational activities, ensures transparency and accountability in its implementation, and protects the privacy and integrity of students and staff.

Deepfakes and AI Misuse Model Policy (Derby)

This policy establishes how a district can maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment for all students and staff. The creation or distribution of synthetic or manipulated digital content, commonly referred to as “deepfakes”, that misrepresents, defames, or harasses any person is strictly prohibited.
