This one-day Summit brings together nationally recognized experts, experienced Kansas educators, attorneys, and district leaders to discuss proven approaches for improving student outcomes through effective governance, strategic leadership, and responsible stewardship of public resources.
Sessions will also examine strategies for identifying efficiencies within district budgets so resources can be redirected back into the classroom, where they have the greatest impact on teaching and learning. Speakers will explore the importance of board policies grounded in Kansas law while reflecting the values and priorities of the local community, as well as provide school leaders with a better understanding of today’s special education landscape and the legal and governance responsibilities that accompany it and tackle tough issues surrounding student discipline.
